Clean Those Pipes!

Image
Today I am doing my monthly cleanse with my favorite product, Colonblow! (Cue laughter) No, not the cereal advertised on Saturday Night Live by Phil Hartman in the 80’s…this is real. Since healing myself of lupus several years ago, I believe more than ever in natural remedies along with the power of the mind to keep us in balance. I like to clean my system on a regular basis – as we all should – because like clogged pipes, stuff that’s stuck will prevent things from flowing smoothly (I’m trying to be as delicate as possible so as not to gross you out, but this is important stuff). Get a Grip!

Your Life Force is like a strong stream of water and the hose is you. When you literally get a grip on ...

I tried to maintain that style of eating after the initial two weeks but I found myself eating more than usual - not good. Then I moved on to calorie counting and that worked quite well - I used www.dailyplate.com to calculate all my calories and restricted myself to 900 a day. I was losing about 2 pounds a week for a while. Yay! Naturally, I had to have a treat once in a while, so the weight loss stabilized. My body likes a certain weight and tends to stay there - I've been pretty much the same weight since I was 15. I can still fit into my high school uniform and prom dress :) So now I have adopted another new eating habit. (I don't like to "diet" or follow a diet or feel like I'm on a diet...too restrictiv...
