Messages from Beyond...

(I wrote this blog a few days ago before I found out that a dear friend and former colleague from Capitol Records passed away last weekend. My Capitol family and I were shocked and saddened by the news, so now this message feels especially appropriate.) Ever since my father passed away eight years ago, he has been faithfully communicating with me in many ways, just as I asked him to before he died. Many of his messages come through random songs I might hear anywhere – on the radio, playing in a store or restaurant, etc… Some of the songs have emotional significance that connect us, for example, “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong. I used this song at the end of the video I made for my parents’ 50 th wedding anniversary. But other songs my father never heard, or would not have liked if he did.
